Sylvain USHER is an Electrical Engineer, graduated by the University of Quebec, Canada. He started is professional career in Côte d'Ivoire at the National Electricity.After the privatization of the Company in 1990 he took charge of the International Affairs and Relations with the State of Côte d'Ivoire, following up on the Concession Arrangement between the new Company and e Ivorian State. In 1999 he joined the National Water Company and started a career in the Water sector. Since then, Sylvain Usher is the Deputy General Secretary of the African Water Association. He undertook various studies for institutions such as the European Union, the African Development Bank and the World Bank, and facilitated various workshops and sessions during international conferences. For the AfDB Sylvain USHER facilitated a dialogue on scaling up Water and Sanitation services with experts, water utilities CEOs and the Infrastructure Consortium for Africa. Sylvain USHER is member of numerous international water institutions and societies and was also one the African Region Coordinator for the 4th, 5th & 6th World Water Forum.
