Kahijoro Kahuure is MSc in Agriculture Economics, MSc in Agricultural Extension and BA [Hons] in Development Studies. Formerly a lecturer at Egerton University in Kenya. He participated in the Africa Ministerial Committee on Water and in the deliberation for the Africa Water Facility. He was a Namibian Commissioner and Co-Chairperson of the Permanent Okavango River Basin Water Commission and the Zambezi River Basin Commission.
His career was mainly dedicated to public administration, with missions such as Director of Rural Development, Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, Water and Forestry, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Health and Social service Services and now Permanent Secretary of Mines and Energy.
