Suzana Saranga has a degree in Water Resources Management and Environment by the University of Loughborough in the UK and a Master degree in Project Management by the University of Pretoria in RSA. She is a professional of the Mozambique water sector of Mozambique for 28 years now, during which she assumed various responsibilities. Between 1999 and 2005 Suzana Saranga was chief of the International Rivers Office, later she became Deputy National Director (2006-2011) and currently is the National Director. In this period she participated in the preparation of policy instruments and Water Sector Strategy, with emphasis on Water Policy, National Strategies for Integrated Water Resources Management, Water Supply, Urban Sanitation and Rural Sanitation. In the area of water resources it´s important to emphasize her participation in the negotiations of international agreements on Shared Watercourses in the region, having assumed the presidency and vice presidency of the SADC Technical Committee on Water Resources.
