António Zambroni de Souza graduated in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro in 1987. He got a master in Electrical Engineering from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro in 1990 and q PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 1995. He is currently associate professor at the Federal University of Itajubá. In 2000 he was visiting professor in the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and in 2008 was visiting professor in the University of Strathclyde - Scotland. His research interests are in the area of stability of electrical systems, focusing particularly in voltage stability for transmission and distribution. He is also interested in the control of tension and reactive power, electrical markets as well as electrical losses. He has supervised several PhD and Master Students and published several scientific works in conference proceedings and international journals.
